Position Summary

Cadex is seeking a Quality Systems Associate who will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. The successful candidate will support product-design transfers from development to manufacturing and help maintain and improve production processes at Cadex Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of QMS documents, including SOPs, work instructions, quality manuals, technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure document-control processes and the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) comply with 21 CFR Part 11, Good Documentation Practices and applicable international standards.
  • Apply knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 to support audit readiness and provide documentation for QMS, regulatory and customer audits.
  • Implement document change requests in alignment with change-management procedures and quality improvements.
  • Control document revisions, approvals and distribution so current versions remain accessible to relevant personnel.
  • Conduct routine audits of controlled documents and records and lead documentation-workflow improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Cadex quality objectives.
  • Serve as the primary administrator and superuser for the eQMS, providing maintenance, troubleshooting and user support.
  • Oversee the corporate training program and ensure training records are accurately tracked in the eQMS.
  • Support initial eQMS implementation, including system configuration and migration of legacy documents and records.
  • Train employees on document-control processes, Cadex policies and new eQMS workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation supports operational efficiency.
  • Support the proper implementation of change-management processes.
  • Assist Engineering and Purchasing with bills of materials and manufacturer data, and assist Operations with equipment-calibration data.
  • Generate Certificates of Compliance and calibration certificates for Cadex products.
  • Act as the departmental asset-management representative.
  • Support the maintenance of regulatory files for Engineering.
  • Maintain NDA files for Sales and Marketing, Engineering and Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Two to three years of document-control experience in electronics manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Experience as a system administrator, superuser or primary support contact for an eQMS platform.
  • Experience supporting audits and maintaining compliance documentation.
  • Experience in an environment regulated by ISO 9001 and associated standards.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing or coordinating a corporate training program in a regulated environment.
  • Experience supporting the setup, configuration and legacy-data migration phases of an eQMS rollout is preferred.
  • Regulatory expertise: In-depth working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, including the ability to assist Quality Assurance management with audit preparation. Strong understanding of FDA regulations and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
  • Technical aptitude: Ability to quickly learn, administer, test and troubleshoot specialized document-management and ERP software.
  • Analytical ability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
  • Professional skills: Highly organized, self-directed and detail-oriented, with effective communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
