RESEARCH ENGINEER - BATTERY DATA ANALYSIS

Cadex is very active in Research and Technology development and has a patent portfolio in battery diagnostic methods and systems. Cadex is now collaborating with battery manufacturers as well as academia to develop technologies for battery management solutions particularly in Electric Vehicle EV applications. 

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Working as part of our Research team, you will participate in battery data gathering and data analysis, algorithm development. Cadex is seeking a talented, self-motivated, creative and innovative engineer to work with our senior engineers in designing our cloud based data platform, implementing automated test systems, battery testing and battery data analysis using advanced AI based methods. The end goal is to develop proprietary algorithm to be embedded into our battery management products. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in battery data gathering and data analysis projects.
  • Develop and validate estimation and classification algorithms and provide pseudo codes to FW team for implementation.
  • Work within the Research team and collaborate with engineering team of firmware and hardware engineers to transfer the technology to product.
  • Write python and C codes for test system automation and accessing and analyzing the data from the cloud.
  • Provide ideas to drive continuous improvement in technology development.
  • Write documents such as Technology Requirement Specs, Feasibility and Full study reports.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
  • Degree in applied science such as Electrical or mechanical Engineering or Computer science with relevant experience in data analysis and Python and C coding.
  • Hands on experience with electronics equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience in C and Python coding.
  • Knowledge and experience with deep neural networks and machine learning.
  • Strong analytical thinking and self-learning skills.
DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
  • Minimum of Bachelor degree, Master of science degree is a plus
  • Detailed knowledge of Machine learning and data science in general is preferred
  • Familiarity with batteries and ECM models is a plus
  • Knowledge of estimation theories is also a plus
