Quality Technician

Cadex is now collaborating with battery manufacturers as well as academia to develop technologies for battery management solutions particularly in Electric Vehicle EV applications.

Job Summary:

Cadex has a full time permanent position available for a Quality Technician. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role within the Cadex manufacturing team. With strong organizational and communication skills, this individual will perform a “hands on” role supporting the manufacturing processes at Cadex Canada and management of domestic and off-shore suppliers.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Lead MRBs for product non-conformance
  • Create and maintain product inspection criteria
  • Assist Supply Chain with supplier approval and supplier performance reviews
  • Coordinate OCAP for SPC
  • Create DHR packages
  • Contribute to manufacturing process qualification and improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Completion of post-secondary 2 year diploma in science or engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience in electromechanical manufacturing environment under ISO 9001 or ISO 13485
  • CQT designation an asset
  • Basic Knowledge and use of applied statistics in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with workmanship standards such as IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Critical thinker with strong attention to details
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Hands-on individual who enjoys working in a team environment
