Cadex Electronics Inc. is a word leader in quality and innovation of battery test systems, chargers, analyzers that optimize battery performance. We are also currently developing a variety of battery packs, battery monitoring systems, charges, analyzers and advanced battery testers which involve complex signal processing. We employ over 65 employees and also operate regional sales offices located in the Nurnberg, Germany.

The Position:

We are currently recruiting for the position of Cable Assembly Technician to join our growing organization. The successful candidate will be expected to perform basic functions to complete day-to-day production activity. The position requires a highly motivated, positive individual that can work both independently and in a team environment. Cable Assemblers will be expected to perform all job duties in the areas they are assigned under basic supervision

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performing assembly and packaging of electronic components, sub-assemblies, and/or products as per documented product specifications.
  • Crimping, screwing, soldering, press fitting, and/or performing similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
  • Installing finished assemblies or sub-assemblies into cases/chassis.
  • Assembling and performing appropriate testing to finished products using company designed fixtures and/or commercial test equipment to ensure they meet specifications and testing standards.
  • Using a PC to perform various testing.
  • Monitor and perform production processes in order to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to complete operations with good quality
  • Ability to follow direction from supervisors or leads
  • Maintaining safe and organized working environment.
  • Responsible and reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Performing various other duties as required on the Production floor.
Education and Experience
  • Must have prior experience with the following equipment:
    • Wire cutter stripper machine
    • Crimping machines
    • Hand crimps
  • IPC-620 knowledge or prior certification is a plus
  • Must have proven skills in soldering
  • Computer literacy is a requirement
  • Attention to detail (filling forms, catching defects, etc.)
  • Work with minimum supervision and initiatives in seeking out the next job to build
  • Technically inclined in order to perform maintenance on machines as well as investigate repair needs for any breakdowns
  • Ability to use measuring tools
  • Ability to read drawings and perform manufacturing steps
