The different batteries and chemicals also want to be treated differently. When storing batteries in particular, not only the temperature but also the SoC (state of charge) should be taken into account.

Lead acid: How to store a Lead Acid Battery

- Partial charge causes sulfation
- Self-discharge increases with heat
- Topping-charge every 6 months

-> Using a Charge Program with the Cadex C7X00 C-Series Analyzer

- Can be stored charged or empty
- Needs exercise after long storage

Li-ion: How to store a Lithium Ion Battery

fig3_li_ion_batt_nb.png#asset:8183Store at 30-60% SoC (State of Charge)

- Charge empty Li-ion to 3.80V/cell
- Discharge full Li-ion to 3.75V/cell (3.80V/cell relates to ~50% SoC
- Topping-charge every 6 months

-> Using a Custom Program with the Cadex C7X00 C-Series Analyzer to bring the Batteries to a specific SoC level.
This works also for recharging after a while.

Especially during the Covid phase, many batteries remained unused and were stored. Here it is important to take good care of the batteries during the storage phase. In addition to recharging batteries, it can also happen that the battery is too deeply discharged and is already below the cut-off voltage due to a low state of charge and / or increased self-discharging.

With the C7X00 C-Series battery maintenance system you can solve all this challenge. By activating the boost program on the C7X00 C-Series Analyzer, you give the necessary current to the battery so that the circuit is closed again and a supposedly dead battery can take charge again.
