Los Angeles Times writer Catharine Hamm tries to uncover what is allowed to be brought on a plane as luggage versus carry-on when it comes to battery-operated devices, including e-cigarettes. She turns to Cadex Electronics sponsored educational website BatteryUniversity.com, a trusted resource for all things battery-related, for the answer.
Cadex' own John Bradshaw, marketing communications manager, provided some insight on the topic as well: "You also must be careful with spare lithium ion batteries lest they come into contact with, say, keys or coins that can short them, making them a fire hazard".
