A battery charger is no longer an afterthought but provides risk management in battery. The Universal Supervisor Charger (USC) verifies battery performance and asks for replacement when the FCC (Full Charge Capacity) of a smart battery falls below the Target Selector setting. The USC Series comes in one, two and six bays, working in standalone mode and connecting to a host with the Cadex Link.
Inserting a smart battery, the green SoH Light gives a pass when the Target Selector meets the FCC level; amber calls for calibration. The Target Selector serves as gate keeper defaulted to 80%. The settings can be changed by connecting to a host. A regular battery will not activate the SoH Light.Custom battery adapters configure the open charger platform to enable servicing different battery types side-by-side. Swapping adapters keeps the charger current when new packs arrive. | SoH Light |

Cadex Link connects the USC to a host to display battery state-of-health by Fishbowl, set the Target Selector and enable upgrades. Analytics in Level 3 stores test results for performance evaluations.
Cadex Link connects transforms the USC into a battery supervisory system
The Fishbowl shows battery state-of-health (SoH) at a glance on a host. The outer ring reveals state-of-charge moving clock-wise on charge and counter-clockwise on discharge. The hanging black ceiling reveals capacity fade that drops to the Target Selector redline as the battery ages. Touching the Dome displays the data of a smart battery. The Fishbowl remembers the Leftover Charge of a smart battery that should be 10–20% after a routine day. If consistently low, the Target Selector should be set higher to secure more energy. When always high, you can relax the setting to keep batteries longer. | Fishbowl indicates battery SoH with Leftover Charge |
Leftover Charge serves as performance indicator by adjustment between system reliability versus economics with the Target Selector. Knowing Leftover Charge gives full control over a battery fleet with indication when to replace a fading battery. Think of the fuel reserves in an aircraft when landing. |
The USC-6 has provision to build a Battery Test System that expands to 120 channels. Each bay can hold a unique battery to perform charge, calibration, storage preparation, and readiness for shipping with printing of shipping labels, controlled by the host. | Host services up to 120 channels with unique battery settings |
