Charge/discharge current 30mA to 10A, settable in 1mA increments.
Maximum charge power 100W per station; 400W total. Each station can charge at 100W continuously.
Maximum discharge power 80W per station; 320W total. Each station can discharge at 80W simultaneously.
Power management Current automatically scales down if power demand is above 80W on discharge or 100W on charge; message indicates scaled service.
Line voltages 100 to 240VAC, 50-60Hz; max 8A.
Battery chemistries Lithium-ion, nickel-metal-hydride, nickel-cadmium, lead-acid. Parameters are changeable; custom charge algorithms possible for specialty chemistry.
Battery interface:
Power Port
Supplied 4 Power Cables, 1.8 m (6’), with banana terminals and alligator clips;
4-wire; detachable temperature sensor. Maximum current 10A.
I/O Port
Optional DB25 cables, one cable needed per channel.
Battery Adapters
SnapLock™ Battery Adapters interface with optional SnapLock Adapter Unit. The Battery Adapter stores up to 10 battery-specific C-codes that configure the analyzer to the correct setting. Maximum current 4A.
Charge method: Lithium-ion and lead-acid: Constant voltage with current limit. Nickel-based: Constant current with optional Reverse Load Charge method, adjustable from 5-12%. Automatic full charge detection.
Manual Settings possible on Custom Program
Discharge method: Can be set to constant current or constant power discharge with PC-BatteryLab. Discharges to set voltage threshold. Manual setting possible on custom program.
Battery service programs: Grouped into Service, Advanced, Rapid-Test, Custom and Specialty. Jump command advances to the next cycle or retracts to the previous setting.
Service
Charge, Auto, Prime, Extended Prime, Boost.
Advanced
GSM, CDMA, Runtime, Lifecycle, Self-discharge, Discharge Only.
Rapid-Test
QuickSort™ (500-1500mAh Li-Ion), QuickTest™(Lithium, Nickel and Lead-based chemistries), Learn (to create QuickSort™ & QuickTest™ matrices), OhmTest™, AC Impedance.
Custom (via PC)
Stores up to 100 customized programs; up to 100 steps per program.
Programmable by BatteryLab™. Steps are based on voltage thresholds, delta-V, current levels, delta-I, temperature, delta-T, time, number of cycles, open circuit,
AC impedance, DC resistance, SMBus flags and other threshold parameter.
Specialty (via PC)
Enables advanced load and circuit testing.
- Load Capture:* Tests power source with previously recorded load signature.
- Charger Test:*. Examines charger function with current and voltage simulation.
- Safety Circuit Test:* Examines current and voltage thresholds.
Security: Password protection prevents unauthorized access. The 3 levels are:
Display 5.7” diagonal QVGA resolution (320x240) graphics display with backlight
Power failure recovery Retains the test data on power failure and resumes when power is restored. The time stamp on power failure and resumption is recorded.
Accuracy +/-0.1% on voltage; +/-0.25% on current; full scale.
Sample Rate 10 milliseconds, display updated every 1 second; data logging 1–60 seconds.
