operating on the SMBus. The system is self-calibrating and provides continuous
fuel gauge information. The charger automatically conditions the 32-volt batteries
every tenth cycle. The chargers and battery packs meet international safety

The FDA approved battery pack features a fuel gauge and is built for high
mechanical stability to withstand the demanding environment of emergency medical

The BSS-2 charges and conditions nickel-cadmium and sealed lead-acid batteries for heart defibrillators. A smart circuit embedded in the battery reminds the user of pending maintenance based on the battery's state-of-health, cycle count and elapsed time.
