Cadex DoubleSix Charger: An Important Accessory for Nextel.
A key technology of Nextel is the Digital Direct Connect ® walkie-talkie
service. To better compete against traditional land mobile radio, Nextel
saw the need to offer traditional accessories. Cadex designed the DoubleSix
charger to meet Nextel's requirement for a multi-bay charger. This unit charges
12 lithium-ion batteries from several different handset styles.Motorola Battery Optimizing System (BOS) tests and maintains
batteries for two-way radios.
Motorola service centers and customers throughout the world analyze and recondition
their batteries on the BOS to improve reliability, prolong battery life and
lower replacement costs. The SnapLock™ Battery Adapters accept all major
battery types. The BOS is built on the Cadex C7400 platform.FDNY chooses vehicle-powered Cadex UCC2 to keep radio batteries charged 24/7.
Keeping radios working and the lines of communication open is mission-critical for The Fire Department of New York City. For a measure of safety FDNY installed a vehicle-powered, rugged, Cadex UCC2 charger in each truck and ambulance to keep radio batteries charged. Now even if the power is out the FDNY’s radios are on.
