The Austrian Army maintains the batteries for the laser guns and other defense devices with Cadex C7400ER battery analyzers. All batteries follow a maintenance regime to assure top reliability and long service life.





 

Cadex C7000ER keeps the F16 fighter jets on course
Lockheed Martin employs the Cadex C7000ER battery analyzers to service the Inertial Navigation Unit batteries used on the F16 aircraft. This unique battery adapter system enables the Cadex analyzers to accommodate other battery types, including the widely used military BB390 and BB590, as well as batteries for two-way radios, cell phones, mobile computing, biomedical instruments and avionics.



Cost savings with battery maintenance

To reduce battery replacement costs for two-way radios, GTE Government Services did a study on US Naval Ships by applying three battery service models: Charge-and-use, Exercise and Recondition. Recondition is a deep discharge exclusive to Cadex battery analyzers to restore nickel-cadmium batteries affected by memory. GTE discovered that Recondition provides a nine-fold cost reduction over other methods. Based on these results, GTE endorses the Cadex battery analyzers for all operations.
