Isidor Buchmann is the founder and CEO of Cadex Electronics Inc. For three decades, Buchmann has studied the behavior of rechargeable batteries in practical, everyday applications, has written award-winning articles including the best-selling book “Batteries in a Portable World,” which is now in its third edition, and has spoken at conferences around the world. Buchmann is also the author of www.BatteryUniversity.com, an educational information website that provides practical information on batteries for the busy professionals design engineer, student and everyday battery users.

Bruce Adams

Mr. Adams leads a customer-focused sales team, which has built customer satisfaction into the cornerstone of our business. He and his six co-workers are responsible for product planning, sales and distribution of Cadex products in over 100 countries. After stops in clinical medical sciences, science systems and healthcare sales, Adams joined Cadex in 1996. He holds a BSc degree from the University of British Columbia.

Denis Beaudoin

Mr. Beaudoin oversees Engineering & Research. He has 33 years of experience in hardware and software design, as well as project management. Beaudoin has led engineering teams in small and large companies including Motorola's Wireless Data Group, Ericsson's IP Networks group, and Epson's Vancouver Design Center. His name is included in eight patents and he participated in the startup of several companies. Beaudoin holds a BASc, Electrical Engineering from University of Ottawa.

Hanif Rahim

Mr. Rahim leads the Cadex Spectro Business Unit and is responsible for building strategic partnerships in the transportation sector with vehicle manufacturers and service providers. A seasoned veteran of leading international, industry-first product launches, Rahim brings over 20 years of experience in defense, medical, telecom, IT, industrial controls and wireless industries. His previous roles include Vice-President of Sales at Avenview, and Director of Channel Sales at Icron Technologies, Business Manager at Group Telecom and GEAC Canada, and Field Engineer at GEAC.

Dan Yarmoluk

Mr. Yarmoluk is responsible for strengthening and expanding the medical and military OEM markets for Cadex in North America and Asia. With the growing need for advanced battery charging, diagnostics and monitoring, Yarmoluk will integrate the innovative technologies developed by Cadex into industrial users worldwide. His experience comes from many years of international sales in medical and renewable energy technologies with his most recent accomplishment being the establishment of the North American sales and marketing arm of one of Asia’s largest lithium battery manufacturers. Yarmoluk holds a BA in International Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago.

Greg Funk

Mr. Funk is a seasoned technology entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in developing and marketing world class products. Prior to joining Cadex he was Vice President of Business Development and a founding member of Sierra Wireless. He received his B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and has worked for Motorola, McDonald Dettwiler and Mobile Data International in a variety of engineering and product development roles. Mr Funk is responsible for all product planning and management activities within Cadex.

Gareth Hackett

Mr. Hackett manages the European office with responsibility for Europe, Middle East and Africa.  His duties include managing all distribution channels and servicing key strategic partners locally as well as organizing events.  An industry veteran having worked at Energizer, RRC Power Solutions and SL Power Electronics, Gareth also worked in the solar PV industry for 4 years most notably managing the SCHOTT Solar joint venture with Hareon Solar in China, and covering large scale energy storage solutions whilst at Flextronics. Gareth holds a Professional Diploma in Management from the Open University in Milton Keynes, UK.

Tina Shoa

Mrs. Shoa leads Research activities at Cadex. She has 12 years of research experience at both academia and industry. Prior to joining Cadex, she was a Research Scientist at Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation (AFCC). Mrs. Shoa received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. She also holds Engineering Management sub-specialization degree from UBC. Dr. Shoa is responsible for leading the Research team and exploring cutting edge technologies for developing new products.

Gary Kwok

Mr. Kwok manages the product support division, providing one-on-one solutions in a constantly changing battery market. His duties include in-house and end-customer support, product training, warranty replacements, custom setups and general battery inquiries. Kwok graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and followed his electronics skills in AC to DC and DC to AC products for the next seven years.

John Bradshaw

Mr. Bradshaw is responsible for planning, development and implementation of Cadex’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations. He brings over 25 years of e-marketing, web development and business operations experience.  He is currently attending the British Columbia Institute of Technology where he is pursuing his Associate Certificates in Applied Web Development, Applied Software Development and Web/Mobile Application Development.

Wade Van Pelt

Mr. Van Pelt is responsible for manufacturing and purchasing, has over 20 years of experience in electronics manufacturing and has established supply chains in North America and China. He implemented the Lean Manufacturing Practices for Cadex and has succeeded in meeting on-time delivery with consistent industry-leading product quality. Van Pelt holds Operations & Manufacturing Certifications with APICS, The Association for Operations Management.

Alexander Hunt

Mr. Hunt is Team Leader of Research specializing in information systems and data storage. He has authored many department standards and policies and is instrumental in the further developments of the Spectro™ EIS technology as well as the proprietary HealthTest™. Hunt holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Computing Science) from Simon Fraser University, an Associates of Science degree (Chemistry), an Associates of Arts degree (Psychology) from Douglas College, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation.

Quality Assurance Manager

Louis McGarry

Mr. McGarry is responsible for ISO compliance, quality control, document control, control of non-conforming products, corrective and preventive actions and internal quality auditing. He obtained our ISO 9001 in 1999 and implemented an SPC system that was approved by Lockheed Martin. He further obtained quality system approvals from Motorola and Medtronic Physio-Control. McGarry holds a BSc from the University of California, Davis, in physics and a MSc from the University of British Columbia where he specialized in solar neutrino physics.
