Why was this not done earlier?
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy has been in use for many years but equipment size, high cost and long test times made it prohibitive. The Spectro CA-12 solved this with a digital signal processor that compiles 40 million transactions during the short test. Modern components have shrunk the circuit to fit into a compact hand-held tester, but the most significant improvement lies in the Cadex patented algorithm.
Ease of Use
Simply connect the Spectro CA-12 to the battery terminals and read the test results. The battery
doesn’t need to be disconnected nor fully charged.
