Quality Technician
Cadex Electronics Inc. has a permanent full time position available for a Quality Technician.

Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection
- ESD system maintenance

Skills and Experience:

  • Good English skills, both oral and written
  • 2+ years experience in an ISO 9001 and/or 13485 environment that is particularly related to the electronics manufacturing industry
  • Familiarity with electronic workmanship standards such as JDEC and IPC
  • Able to read mechanical drawings and related technical documentation
  • Able to use mechanical measuring equipment such as calipers/gauges and also use electronic multimeters

Sales Applications Engineer
Cadex Electronics Inc. has succeeded in developing a new battery test technology that promises to set new global standards in the field.

We are seeking a Sales Applications Engineer with entrepreneurial spirit to sell this new technology in North America. The candidate must have the ability to find key contacts in large corporations and compete against competitors in an established market on the merit of product performance. Good electrical and chemical knowledge is essential. Furthermore, the successful candidate must be familiar with testing methods of lead acid batteries, have experience in supervising trial runs and know how to evaluate test results. The candidate will have the support of Cadex’s Research Department on technical issues, and the Sales Department in securing orders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in applications engineering
  • 5-years automotive-related battery experience would be an advantage
  • Earned an engineering degree or diploma in electronics and/or chemistry
  • Have 5 years experience in selling electronic test equipment
  • Possess good conceptual understanding and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Be able to communicate with large companies



Research Engineer
Cadex Electronics designs and manufactures battery analyzers, battery chargers, custom battery packs and hand-held rapid testers. With exports to over 150 countries, Cadex has been a market leader for 25 years and has offices in Richmond, Canada and Nuremberg, Germany. The company is seeking a Research Engineer.

Tasks:

Develop new battery test methods
Project management
Develop test procedures
Product support

Essential Requirements:

Candidates should hold a University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Physics
Strong experience in numerical computation techniques and scientific algorithm development in a u-controller environment
Demonstrated experience (3 years min) in the following areas:
-Numeric computation
-Inverse problem solving and mathematical opimization methods
-Design, prototyping, development and testing of numeric algorithms in C

Desirable Skills:

Firmware based DSP experience would be a decisive advantage
Labview and Matlab knowledge
Fuzzy Logic and Neural Network experience
